It Happened!!!

I don't know if I mentioned it earlier, but back in April we got baby chicks and have had a lot of fun watching them grow.  The past few weeks we've eagerly been awaiting eggs and TA-DA!!!  Today we got our first egg!  Isn't that great?  Had to share.

As awesome as that is, I know that isn't making you laugh so here's the real story.  My son was outside and decided to pick up one of the hens.  (A normal occurance here, they're pets too.)  As soon as he picked her up, the chicken laid her first egg and it landed right on my son's foot.  What are the odds?  Ha ha, he was so excited to have eggs that he didn't care.

Pain Killers

Dustin with a little too many pain killers in his system, "Hey it's kind of hard to open my mouth."

"Open"  little laugh

"Close"  more laughing

"Open"  harder laughing

"Close"  no more talking, just laughing

Tooth Fairy

Letter my daughter wrote:

Dear Tooth Fairy,

Plase spare me the tooth container.  (She put it in a little white tooth container and wanted to keep it.)  And please give me extra money.  Thank you!

P.S.
Please don't throw away my tooth I will look in the garbage in the morning.
Thank you

Sharing the Fun

I look out my window and what do I see?

My son swinging holding a chicken on his lap!

Something tells me this isn't such a great idea.

I'm still on both sides

You can shed tears that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and wish that she'll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
You can remember her only that she is gone,or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she'd want:  Smile.  Laugh.  Love.  And live.

My note:  remember to cheer loud for those you love and eat cookies!!!
