Texting Blunder

What the text said,

"Hey I sent you am email about slice rear special today only check it out k love you."

What it was suppose to say,

"Hey I sent you an email about police gear special today only check it out k love you."

And when you're really tired . . . this is really funny.  :)

New

With the exception of a few months (which my kids don't remember), it has never been just "my family" in my home.  And now it is.  While the anger at me for changing the situation is still there - thankfully it doesn't surface as much as it use to - our kids are starting to see the benefits.  For example, our son - while I'm writing this - is stringing yarn across the living room at different angles and lengths and seeing which is best for a zip line for different materials.  Like a paper clip.  Or a crochet hook.  Or combining the two.  Yup, good times are here.

Note:  It's my kids that aren't happy about the change.  My husband is the one who suggested it, had lots of questions about that on the phone.  :)  Thanks all!

Fish Shop

While at the most awesome aquarium shop, my husband and I have the 4 year old boy with us.  While eagerly running around from one tank to the next, he gets excited to show my husband something.  He's talking nonstop about everything he's seeing and not quite watching anything but the fish, reaches up for Dustin's hand to pull him to the next tank.  With about 3 other people in the area where we were, he had the luck to grab someone else's hand.  Both of them looked at each other for a moment as he turns around to see us behind him instead of to his side.  Quickly he releases the stranger's hand and jumps onto Dustin's leg, wrapping himself all around Dustin and didn't let go for a few minutes.

Smells Good

For Christmas, I received an early present - a Scentsy plug in warmer.  Very festive and smells great!  Well I put it an outlet near the garbage can and here's a conversation that took place around it.

4 year old boy, "Hey, smell this!  It smells really good!"

4 year old girl walks over, leans in around the boy, smells it, and exclaims, "Yes!  That DOES smell good."

Almost 2 year old girl, watching these two, decides she wants to see what they're up to.  She walks over to where they're standing and leans in over the garbage can and takes a deep breath.  Then looks at them like they're crazy and walks off.

Fish

A 4 year old boy to his (I'll call best) friend, a 4 year old girl, "Look!  I have a bruise on the top of my foot here."

Her response, "Did the fish jump out (of the tank) and get you?"

Me (to make sure I understood correctly), "You played a game with your orange?"

3 year old, "Yeah!"
